This weekend my two friends from Belgium, Kim and Ellen, came to visit me. Sadly they did not come alone: clouds carrying rain travelled with them. But we didnt let it bother us. We rented a car and went sight-seeing in Seville on saturday. At night we went to Casa de la Anselma, a famous flamenco house in the old Triana neighbourhood. Every night a flamenco band plays there, and whoever wants can dance sevillanas. If you stick around long enough you will hear the lady of the house singing. Not that its recomended to listen to that longer than 15 minutes, its hilarious. After that we checked out an open-air club called Bandalai. I think 2 of us wished they were single...
On sunday we drove to the coast of Matalascanas where we, due to the bad weather, practically had the whole beach to ourselves. I think the spanish people declared us mad going in the ocean. But the water was nice, little chilly perhaps. We also drove to Carmona, a small city about half an hour east of Seville.
